Michael James Grommet, 27, Waterloo, pled guilty to 3rd degree theft. He was fined $625 and directed to pay victim restitution.
Grommert was charged on April 12 with removing a tire from a vehicle parked at D's Auto in Toledo and putting the tire on a stolen vehicle he was driving. The charge was filed by Toledo Police Chief Bob Kendall.
On line court records for Black Hawk County show Grommet faces a Cedar Falls Police charge for 1st degree theft for allegedly taking a vehicle from an auto dealership for a test drive and not returning it. The charge was filed on April 13.

He also faces a pair of 1st offense drunken driving charges filed by Evansdale Police and the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office.
