Before Judge Nancy A. Baumgartner in Tama County District Court in Toledo:
Tara Sharon Brown, 19, rural Tama, pled guilty to possession of marijuana. She was fined $315 and sentenced to 12 days in jail with credit for 12 days already served.
Brown was charged on Nov. 2 after her purse was searched at the Tama County Jail in Toledo after being arrested on a separate violation. The charge was filed by Tama county Deputy sheriff Bruce Rhoads.
Joseph Manuel Ortiz, 27, Tama, pled guilty to assault causing bodily injury. He received a deferred sentence, was assessed a $315 civil penalty and placed on unsupervised probation.
Ortiz was charged on July 28 with shoving a victim into a wooden fence at Bumblebee's Bar in Toledo causing lacerations to the victim's head and foot. The charge was filed by Toledo Police Officer Dan Quigley.
Karen Kay Robinson, 58, Tama, pled guilty to 1st offense drunken driving. She received a deferred judgement, was assessed a $1,250 civil penalty and placed on unsupervised probation.
Robinson was charged on Aug.. 4 in the 200 block of west High Street in Toledo by Toledo Police Officer Joe McMillen.
Dale Roger Buffalo, 54, Toledo, pled guilty to public intoxication - 3rd offense. He was fined $625 and sentenced to 90 days in jail with 83 suspended and credit for seven days already served.
Buffalo was charged on Aug. 14 in the 100 block of east State street, Toledo, by Toledo Police Officer Brian Randall.
Joshua Robert Smith, 22, Marshalltown, pled guilty to attempting to elude law enforcement. He was fined $315 and sentenced to 22 days in jail with credit for 22 days already served.
Smith was charged at 17th and McClellan streets, Tama, on Oct. 24 by Toledo Police Officer Bryan Randall.
