On Saturday, South Tama traveled to New Hampton to compete in four more duals. STC beat Waterloo East 51-30 and Waukon 56-16. STC also narrowly lost, 34-33, to New Hampton, who is ranked in the top 10 for team duals. The Trojans other defeat, 39-36, came against Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, who was 10-1 entering the match.

Five South Tama wrestlers won all four matches on the day. They were Steuhm, Chyma, Kaufman, Lux and Vest. Steuhm had three pins and a major decision. Chyma pinned one opponent and recorded one technical fall. Kaufman had three pins and a major decision. Lux pinned all four opponents, while Vest had three pins and one forfeit.

The Trojans hosted a team dual at home on Thursday night. They will compete in the Ankeny Invitational on Saturday, before going to Oskaloosa on Jan. 17.
