Meskwaki - 78

CAL - Latimer - 48

Dia Keahna was an unstoppable force Friday night as she helped the Meskwaki Settlement School girls basketball team win its 10th game of the season.

Keahna sank four three-pointers en route to scoring 35 points in the Warriors 78-48 victory over CAL. The Warriors improved to 10-1 with the victory.

Meskwaki jumped on top of CAL in the first quarter, taking a 23-12 lead. The Warriors maintained its lead at halftime, 40-27. They put the game out of reach in the third quarter, outscoring CAL 18-9, before finishing them off with a 20-12 fourth quarter.

Jaden Davenport added 18 points for Meskwaki. Davenport hit 8-of-11 field goals. As a team, Meskwaki had 22 steals in the contest and 17 assists.

The Warriors host Tripoli on Friday night.

Boys basketball

Meskwaki - 72

CAL Latimer - 50

For the first time all season, the Meskwaki Settlement School boys basketball team won back-to-back games.

The Warriors (4-6), before Friday night's win, last played on Dec. 18 and narrowly beat Northeast Hamilton 66-65. On Friday, the Warriors traveled to Latimter and beat CAL 72-50.

Meskwaki put the game away in the second and third quarters as it scored 22 and 30 points in those periods. A pair of Warriors scored in double figures. Royce Timberwolf led the team with 17 points, while Cordell Bear added 13 points to the victory. The Warriors recorded 29 steals in the contest.

The Warriors host Tripoli on Friday night.
