The local band Stanwood Charlie will be joined this Friday night by a Indianapolis-based band Hero Jr. and band The Gateway Scene. They are all set to appear at the Eagles Club in downtown Tama.
It's billed as a reunion for Stanwood Charlie. "Gordon, Jason, Jared, Dirk, Rob (in spirit), and myself will be rockin' once again," drummer Eric Haughey wrote on his Facebook page.
But how the now touring Indianapolis band gets here is another tale from "Facebook" the social media site.

Hero Jr. publicist, Tony Bonyata, explains it best in an email to The News-Herald when asked why the band chose Tama for a performance
"Hero Jr. doesn't have any direct ties, but it's still an interested story why they're playing (in Tama.)
"We have a Iowa Public Radio session in Iowa City booked for Hero Jr. next Friday afternoon, Feb 8th, so the guys were looking for an Iowa show to also play around that date. They weren't having any luck, but as fate had it, a Tama musician, Eric Haughey, in the local band Stanwood Charlie, contacted Hero Jr's frontman, Evan Haughey, through facebook, only because he saw they had the last name and were both musicians.
"Eric said if they ever needed a gig in Iowa to play to let him know, and since Hero Jr. were looking for a gig next weekend, it worked out that they were able to book the Eagle Ballroom in Tama next Friday.
"So two Haughey's (one from Tama and the other from Indianapolis) will be meeting and rocking together on the same stage for the first time next Friday in their respective bands."
