Eastern Iowa Roadways Now Completely Covered With Snow and Ice

March 5, 2013
Iowa Department of Transportation , Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

AMES, Iowa March 5, 2013: 7 a.m. Presently, most roadways in the eastern half of Iowa are being reported as completely covered with snow and ice.

According to the National Weather Service, snow will continue over portions of northeast Iowa this morning and into the early afternoon hours. Winter Storm warnings are posted through this region. A cold front will pass through central Iowa this morning, bringing drier air in its wake and quickly diminishing the snow. Little additional accumulations are expected after the boundary passes.
