Ruth Hedwig Dvorak

Ruth Hedwig Dvorak, 79, of Belle Plaine and formerly of Chelsea died Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a short illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the First Lutheran Church with Pastor Dean Duncan presiding. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Vining. Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. Monday at the Hrabak Funeral Home, Belle pliane, and after 9:30 AM Tuesday at the church.

Ruth was born Feb. 24, 1934, in Keystone, the daughter of Alfred and Stella Holst.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert "Bob" and brother, Harvey Holst

She is survived by sons, Alan Dvorak of Belle Plaine and Dale (Vicki) Dvorak of Kirkland, Wash.; brothers, Byron (Sharon) Holst of Keystone and Les (Kay) Holst of Indianola; sisters, Olga (Vernon) Sikir of Belle Plaine and Carol McGinnis of Cedar Rapids; sister-in-law, Ann Holst of Independence; and grandchildren, Stephanie, Sarah, Danielle, and Nathan.

A memorial fund has been established.
