Joseph August Pagel, 45, of Kearney, Mo., passed away on April 17, 2013, surrounded by love and family.
Memorial Services were held on Saturday, April 20, with Father John Wolf as Celebrant at Hidden Valley Funeral Home.
He was born on Sept, 6, 1967, in Ames, Iowa, the son of Larry J. and Patricia A. (Moyer) Pagel. In his younger years, he did a lot of traveling with his parents and sister. He graduated high school in Duxbury, Mass., and then received his Associates Degree in Electronics from Maplewoods Community College. Joe was united in marriage to Lisa R. (Martin) on Nov. 4, 1995, in Beaumont, Texas. Together, they raised five children.

Joe owned and operated Rail Tech Communications since 2000. He was a member of the Church of the Annunciation in Kearney. Joe loved riding and working on motorcycles. He will always be known for having the best taste in music and the worst taste in movies.
He leaves behind his wife, Lisa of Kearney, Mo.; children, Joseph August Pagel II and wife, Tea of
Kansas City, Mo., Andrew Mark Pagel of Columbia, Mo., Bobby Leon Ogden of Kearney, Mo., Emily Elyse Pagel of Kearney, Mo., Allyson Denise Pagel of Kearney, Mo.; parents, Larry J. and Patricia A. Pagel of Kearney, Mo.; sister, Kristine Krueger and husband, Todd of Morrisville, Vt. and their children, Meghan and Jesse; grandmother, Ruth Moyer of Tama; granddaughter, Tatjana Elyse Pagel; and a grandson on the way, to be named Joseph August Pagel III. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
