New Genesis Development group homes, day program await locations

Plans continue to take shape for changes planned for Pheasant Ridge Care Center, the former Tama County Home located north of Toledo.

Terry Johnson, CEO?of Genesis Development, which leases the facility, told The Chronicle two group homes to be eestabished in the Tama-Toledo area are awaiting comleltion of negotiations for the properties. Genesis prefers to lease from private investors.

When complete, occupancy at Pheasant Ridge will be reduced from the current level of 25 to 15.
