The South Tama County Activity Booster Club continues to hold its annual membership drive. This year's theme is: Show Your Trojan Pride.Join the South Tama County Activity Booster Club.

The purpose of the organization is to provide support to the students of the South Tama County School District involved in activities through, but not limited to, the donation of time, ideas and money.

Membership breaks down into four levels: Booster ($25), Pride ($50), Trojan ($100), Gold ($300) and Platinum ($500). Anyone interested in joining the South Tama County Activity Booster Club should send their contact information and check (payable to the STC Activity Booster Club) to: P.O. Box 123, Tama, IA 52339.

The new digital sign at the STC High School was funded by the STC Activity Booster Club, the Family and Friends of Charley Townsley and the Tama County Community Foundation. In recent years, the club has funded renovations to the STC Tennis, Softball, Baseball and Soccer Complexes. In addition, the club spearheaded the fundraising drive to pay for the all-weather track around the football field.

Donations have been made to middle school activities, as well as, the Speech, Drama and Music Departments at the high school. The club annually supports the Yearbook and After Prom Activities. A scholarship has been traditionally awarded each year.

Each August the organization holds the Ken Kolpin Open Four Person Best Shot Fundraising Golf Tournament at the Tama-Toledo Country Club. The club also sponsors the Gator Bowl (fall) and Jam the Gym (winter) Events as well.

The South Tama County Activity Booster Club meets the first Wednesday of each month at 5:30 PM at the Tama-Toledo Country Club in Tama.
