Frances J. Aldrich, 89, Garwin, passed away in Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Premier Estates of Toledo. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, April 18, at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Tama. Buiral will be at Garwin Cemetery. A visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Tuesday April 15, at Overton Funeral Home, Garwin with a Prayer Service at 6 p.m.
Frances Juanita Aldrich was born on Sept. 14, 1924, at home in rural Baxter to Ernest and Hazel (Alspaugh) Bwol. She graduated high school in 1943 where she was a member of the girls basketball team. She married Berdell Aldrich on April 12, 1944, in Garwin where they made their home on the farm and raised six children. Frances was a member of the Homemakers Club of Garwin and the St. Bonafice Rosary Society. She enjoyed dancing and doll making, but most of all she loved her family!
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband with whom she would have celebrated 70 years of marriage on April 12; her sisters Esther Pille and Maye Neuroth and a brother, Frank Bwol.

Frances is survived by four sons, Bob (Lona) Aldrich of Melrose, Allen (Jill) Aldrich, Gary (Janice Drury) Aldrich and Steve (LeeAnn) Aldrich, all of Garwin; two daughters, Patricia (Paul) Bischoff of Garnavillo and Karen (Tim) Duden of Gladbrook; 14 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
