Dennis Paul Hagerty 53, of Warren passed away on February 25th 2017, at FHN Hospital with his family by his side. Dennis was born on July 3rd 1963 in Marshalltown, IA. He was the son of Lawrence W. and Dorothy J. (Svoboda) Hagerty. He graduated from South Tama County High School in Tama, IA. Dennis married his high school sweetheart and true love, Holly Chamra on October 19, 1984 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tama. He worked for Spahn & Rose Lumber Company while living in Tama, IA, which is what brought his family to Warren, Illinois. He later worked for Amerhart of Green Bay, WI and finally BPI, Building Products Inc., of Waterloo, IA which became his family away from home. Dennis was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Warren.
Dennis's girls were his pride and joy. He loved attending everything from band concerts to sporting events. He was always willing to help a friend or neighbor in need. Some of his life highlights were walking his daughter down the aisle and time spent with his grandsons. If he wasn't with family, he could be found in a tractor or in his workshop. Papa also enjoyed fishing, golfing, and playing ping pong.
He is survived by his wife, Holly Hagerty, daughters Denyea (Brad) Auger, Hailey Hagerty (Kade Belcher), and Emily Hagerty, his grandchildren Ayden Williams and Dwyer Auger. He is also survived by his mother Dorothy Hagerty and sisters, Marilyn Hagerty, Roberta (Mike) Black, Cheryl (Tom) Larson and brothers, Michael (Becky) Hagerty and Gery (Julie) Hagerty. Many nieces and nephews, John (Kiley) Hagerty, Tom (Sarah) Hagerty, David Hagerty, Matt (Jenny) Black, Theresa (Corey) McCartney, Stephanie (Kevin) Bazzell, Taliah Black, Kelsey (Steve) Bankey, Shelley (Zach) Leiser, Alicia (Kyle) Disney, Lexie (Chad) Kurovski, and Will Larson along with several great nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father Lawrence W. Hagerty and one sister Cynthia Marie Hagerty.
Services will be on Saturday, March 4th 2017 at 10:00 AM at Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, Illinois. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 8:00pm on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 at Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren, Illinois.
