Five South Tama students set to take part in State Special Olympics

Students from South Tama County schools recently participated in the Special Olympics Area Competition of Basketball Skills on Feb. 9. Students included: Joselinne Bagur, Sade Harrelson and Addison Moran from the elementary school, Curtis Keahna from the middle school, Jose Ordaz, and Allison Posekany from the high school.

At the competition Bagur, Harrelson, Moran, Ordaz and Posekany each took first place and Keahna took third.

Four of the five will be competing in basketball skills at The Mid-Winter Tournament (state level competition) which will take place in Iowa City on March 11. Athletes for the State competition include Bagur, Harrelson, Moran, Ordaz and Posekany.
