A big cast and crew totaling 47 members will present Stage Door on April 6, 7, and 8 at 7 p.m. at the South Tama High School Little Theatre, 1705 State St., (U.S. Highway 63) Tama.
Tickets are available at the high school office.
Under the direction of Dixie Forcht, the play by Edna Ferber and George S. Kaufman, the play features a group of young girls who have come to New York to study acting and find jobs. The scene is Mrs. Orcutt's boarding house, where the hopes and ambitions of sixteen young women are revealed in scenes of entertaining comedy.
Jensen Vodochodsky, Kaylynn Dunn Julie Matta, Jenifer Barajas, Stacey Slaven, Rosie Acevedo, Madison Cole, Bailey Waldo, Lauren Gumm, Veronica Peters, Mikaila Collier and Keely Driscoll portray some of the young women who are in New York studying acting and looking for work in Stage Door. The play is set to be performed on Thursday-Saturday at the South Tama High School Little Theatre.
Contrasted with this are the cases of the girl without talent and the elderly actress whose days are over.
