Tuesday April 11, is National Library Worker Day, intended to recognize librarians and support staff that make library services and programming happen every day.
April 12 is D.E.A.R. Day-Drop Everything and Read. Our library provides many services in addition to books, movies, audio books, magazines, e-books and e-audio books for checkout. Computers with internet accessibility, electronic databases including EBSCO, Tumble-books for Kids, ABC Mouse, and children's programming: summer reading and Sunday Movie Day.
This year's National Library Week theme is "Libraries Transform".
April is also the start of our Summer Reading sign up. Children who will be in grades P & K this fall will attend on June 8-15-22-29; Thursdays at 1:30. Children who will be in grades 1st and up this fall will attend on June 6-13-20-27; Tuesdays at 1:30. All participants must be registered. The last day to turn in registration forms will be June 2. Log sheets start on June 1 and the last day to turn in log sheets will be July 28th. Award day will be Tuesday August 1st at 1:30 for all grades. Come and join the fun! This year's theme is "Build a Better World".
Just a reminder to those people that park in the Library Patron Only parking spaces in front of the library and walk to the doctor's office; You are on camera and may be ticketed.
