The game started at 4:30 with Abby Llewellyn in goal. Defensive line was Olivia Terrones, Keely Driscoll, Jade Baeza, and Emily Terrones. Midfield starters were Taylor Hrabak, Jaelin Berger, Abby Ryan, and Sadie Smith. Forwards were Autumn Papakee and Esmeralda DeLaTorre.

This is the last home game for the season, and was senior night. There are 8 seniors on the team, Jade Baeza, Aleks Beha, Abby Llewellyn, Analea Ordaz, Autumn Papakee, Aleyah Powell, Salma Razak, and Mallory Thede.

The game started slow for ST/EM as Western Dubuque took control in the first 10 minutes, but ST/EM weathered the storm, and it was game on. Both teams kept trying to find a way to crack the other teams defense, but to no avail. And it was an up and down game. Finally in the 26th minute, Western Dubuque had a breakaway that they converted for a 1-0 lead. Abby had a hand on it but could not push it out. Abby had a couple of more good saves in the first half, but Western Dubuque extended their lead in the 31st minute for a 2-0 lead. And this is the way the half ended.

The second half was more of the same. ST/EM had opportunities but to no avail. Sadie had a nice look but just wide. Sadie had another chance, but to the Western Dubuque goalie. Western Dubuque made it 3-0 in the 60th minute, and got their last goal in the 69th minute for a 4-0 lead. And this is the way the game ended.

This was a tough game for ST/EM, but the improvement is very noticeable. The passing and creating opportunities continues to improve. Defense is solid. Midfield play continues to improve. The road does not get any easier, as the team faces some very tough teams in the next 10 days, like ADM and Union. The character of this team will be tested.
