The STC Trojan softball team hosted two top ranked teams last week. The week began with a Trojan, Benton Bobcat double header on Tuesday. The Bobcats are the reigning Class 3A state champions. They have bumped up to Class 4A this season and are currently ranked third in the state. The night ended with two wins for Benton (13-0, 13-2). Maci Fritz, Abby Sandvick and Brittney Breya each had a hit in game two. Runs were scored by Fritz and Gwen Upah with RBI's credited to Sandvick and Saylor Upah.

Pitching this season for the Trojans will be primarily Ashlynn Ellenbecker and Brittney Breya.

The next night the Trojans faced Class 3A, third ranked Solon. The Trojans suffered two losses to Solon (13-0, 12-0).

The silver lining to a tough week on the field is that the Trojans have now seen some of the toughest competition of the season. They can move forward and get to work to get that first win of the season.
