Letter to the Editor:

Thank you seems hardly enough here in Marshalltown anymore! At every turn, the community and surrounding areas show up in a big way to support the efforts of the many non-profits in our community. Last week was no exception. On Wednesday night June 14, JBS lent their time, their delicious ribs and one ginormous grill to raise money for Iowa River Hospice, as part of the weekly Market Place at the Mall Farmer's Market in Marshalltown. Over 500 people were served and the event raised almost $2,700.

The next day, the wonderful kids and staff at Elim Children's Center raised $500 selling delicious lemonade for Iowa River Hospice.

As your local hospice, we are humbled and grateful to live and work in a community like this. We know that we our taking care of our friends, families and neighbors and we carry that in our hearts every day. Your kindness, generosity and community support does not go unnoticed and we could not do what we do without it!!!

Thank you and Gracias!!!
