Marion slides by South Tama

South Tama hosted Marion for their final home WaMaC conference double header of the season.

Marion won both games of the night 10-0 in game one and 13-1 in game two.

Getting the win for Marion in game one was incoming freshman Megan Kessens. Kessens pitched for five innings giving up one hit, walked three batters and struck out one.

Jordyn Dunn and Karlee Walker led the Indians with three hits each.

Kessens also took the 13-1 win in game two. Kessens gave up four hits, one run, one error, walked two batters and struck out one.

The Trojans will travel to Vinton on Wednesday, July 5 where they will begin post season play. STC will face Vinton (9-12, 4-12) for Round one in Class 3A Region 5 post season play.
