June M. (Chmelik) Feisel, 89, of Tama, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Circle of Life Hospice Legacy Lodge in Chariton. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor Dennis St. Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Tama. Visitation will be held Thursday, July 6, 2017 from 10:00 - 11:00 AM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home.

June was born on January 6, 1928 in rural Tama County, Iowa, the daughter of Louis and Tillie (Berka) Chmelik. She graduated from Tama High School in 1946. June was united in marriage to Clifford Henry Feisel on December 14, 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Iowa. She formerly worked at Grandview and Sunny Hill Care Centers as a housekeeper. June was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Tama and the Tama American Legion Auxiliary. She loved gardening, especially flowers along with cooking and baking especially macaroni and cheese. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren except at 11:00 AM when her story was on.

Survivors include one son, David (Avon) Feisel of Chariton; seven grandchildren, Lanny (Melissa) Feisel, Shannon Feisel, Tyler Feisel, Stefanie Glover, Karen Fitzgerald, Kellie Abrahamson, and Brandy Zhorne; fourteen great-grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren; one sister, Lavon Shellenberger of Colorado Springs, CO; one brother, Don (Dot) Chmelik of Tama; several nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Kay Feisel of Tama; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lyle and Dorothy Feisel of Maryland and Gordon and Ruth Scott of Cedar Rapids; and a sister-in-law, Rose Feisel of Toledo. Also surviving is Sharon (Michael) Niewahner, mother of Lanny and Shannon Feisel.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clifford in 1999; son, Larry in 2013; granddaughter, Kimberly Krutsinger; great-great granddaughter Mali Krutsinger; and brother, Kenneth Chmelik.
