To crown new Tama County Fair Queen

2016 Tama County Fair Queen, Madeline Mussig, will be the hostess for the upcoming crowning of the Tama County Fair Queen for 2017 on Thursday, July 20 in the show ring on the Tama County Fair Grounds in Gladbrook at approximately 7:30 p.m.

This year, three contestants, Sadie Cahalan, Laney Princehouse and Haley Shope, applied and will be judged on July 16 at Chapel Church, near Gladbrook, which will be hosted by the Garwin Roughriders 4-H Club. The contestants will be judged one-third on Leadership, Citizenship and Contributions to the Community; one-third on Personality and Awareness and one-third on Poise and Beauty.

The Tama County Fair Queen and Princess will be chosen by impartial judges, the results sealed and announced at the crowning on Thursday, July 20. The public is invited to attend.
