Oak Hill Cemetery Walk in Tama on Sept. 10

September 3, 2017
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

On Sunday, Sept. 1O, at 2 P.M., the public is invited to visit Oak Hill Cemetery for the third annual cemetery walk. The walk is an informal gathering with Oak Hill Cemetery ladies presenting the lives of persons resting there.

The walk will begin at the shelter house with refreshments served. Then the group will move to the various grave sites where a member of Oak Hill Cemetery Association will present information about that person. The object of each presentation is to go past the formal obituary and let those attending see more completely the person's life and experiences.

After each presentation, friends and family members are encouraged to share their memories as well.

Once again, there will be refreshments served at the end of the walk at the shelter house. All attending are encouraged to bring folding chairs if that would make them more comfortable.

Those being remembered and honored this year as follows: Jack Kriegel, Bob and Gerry Thomas, Frank Seymour, and Hugh Hill.
