Iowa State retail meeting in Toledo Sept. 13

Iowa State University Extension retail specialists will host an informational meeting here on Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 5:30 p.m. at The State Bank of Toledo Community Meeting Room - South Broadway entrance.

The specialists will provide information into their specific areas of interest. Anyone interested in economic development and dealing with the issues each of our communities face as our population moves away from rural Iowa to metropolitan areas and what happens to infrastructure and retail in rural communities.

"Iowa State University Extension and Outreach-Community and Economic Development (ISUEO-CED) is dedicated to helping Iowa communities tackle the critical issues of leadership, housing, the built environment, local economic climate, and demographic shifts," Jon Wolseth, ISU Retail Specialist says.

"We assist communities in improving capacity, provide unbiased data for making informed decisions, and collaborate with local partners to strengthen quality of life. We look forward to the opportunity to learn about the community development challenges and successes in Tama County and to share about our resources and programs."
