STC senior runners close out season at Districts

It was an absolutely beautiful day for a cross country meet. The STC Trojans travelled to Solon to compete at the District meet on Thursday, October 19. The temperature was around 70 degrees with a sunny sky and winds blowing southeast at 10-20 mph.

The top 15 finishers from both the boys and girls races will be competing at the State Cross Country meet in Fort Dodge on Saturday, October 28. For the Trojans their cross country season ended last Thursday in Solon.

The overall female winner in Solon was Adrianna Katcher from Center Point-Urbana. She finished 1st with a time of 18:40. The overall male winner was Myles Bach also from Center Point-Urbana. He finished with a time of 16:17.

Finishing first for the STC girls team was Jessica Musgrave who came in 30th with a time of 21:33 followed by Kelsie York-Morris at 61st (23:44), Alysaa Chyma at 62nd (23:53), Espy Waseskuk at 67th (25:15), Esmerelda De La Torre at 68th (26:43), Stephanie Slaven at 69th (27:15) and Jennifer Nunez at 70th (27:16).

Finishing first for the STC boys was Chase Branan at 65th (19:30) followed by Tyrin Lasley at 73rd (20:14), Nick Jordan at 80th (22:14), Jake Wilkerson at 82nd (22:36), Ethan Babinat at 83rd (24:18) and Daniel Ochoa at 85th (25:51).

With the season now at it's end the Trojans will say goodbye and good luck to eight seniors including Kelsie York-Morris, Nick Jordan, Jennifer Nunez, Chase Branan, Esmerelda De La Torre, Daniel Ochoa, Stephanie Slaven and Jake Wilkerson.
