Robert Carl "Boo Boo" Steuhm

Robert Carl "Boo Boo" Steuhm, 54, of Tama passed away Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Memorial Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery in rural Tama with Rev. Dewey Grimes officiating. A Celebration of Life Gathering will follow at the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Tama. Robert was born on January 11, 1963 in Tama, Iowa the son of Robert P. and Cherry Louise (Elliott) Steuhm. He attended South Tama County Schools. Robert had worked in road construction and spent many years as a truck driver. More recently he enjoyed fixing bicycles. Robert fixed used bicycles and gave them away to children in the area keeping with his belief that all children should grow up with a bicycle to ride. He also liked to go fishing and camping. Survivors include one daughter, Stephanie (Ryan) Panosh of Toledo; one son, Curtis Aldridge of Tama; his father, Robert P. Steuhm of Tama; four grandchildren, Destanie, Dakota, Damien, and Devin Panosh all of Toledo; six siblings, Derb Cherry of Riverside, Jeff (Karin) Wheeler of Washington, IA, Tim Steuhm of Amarillo, TX, Dawn Steuhm of Tama, Monica (Diego) Ospina of Ankeny, and Kelby (Alyssa) Steuhm of Grimes; and several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. Preceding him in death was his mother, Cherry Steuhm.Memorials may be directed to the family.Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home, Tama-Toledo is assisting the family with the arrangements.
