Tama Mayor Mike Carnahan and Toledo Mayor John Lloyd have joined together in proclaiming Thursday, March 15 and Friday, March 16, South Tama Community School District Activities and Athletics Appreciation Days.

The mayors said on Monday they believed a number of outstanding examples of student accomplishments in educational and athletic endeavors were of special merit and a community-wide recognition was warranted.

They urged residents to wear school colors on these days and hope all local businesses and offices will allow employees to "dress for the days."
