South Tama School Board members spent close to four and one-half hours in closed session on Wednesday night March 21 to apparently consider an candidate for district superintendent.

Board minutes identify Roger Wilcox, a representative of Grundmeyer Leader Research as also present for the meeting. The firm was retained by the board to assist in hiring a replacement for current Superintendent Jeff Berger who announced in January he no longer wanted to be under consideration for the post.

The board adjourned without any action taken. A time line set earlier lists April 13 as the date preferred for naming a new superintendent.
