Trio of events during Library Week at Toledo Public Library

Three presentations during National Library Week, April 9-14, are set for the Toledo Public Library, 206 East High St. All of the programs are free and open to the public.

On Monday, April 9, at 6:30 p.m. Iowa Author Deb Schense will present a program based upon her book "Barns Around Iowa - A Sampling of iowa's Round Barns."

Many of Iowa's barns have been lost and the presentation and book tell of about 100 of Iowa's round agricultural barns.

Cheryl Bruene, executive director of ISU Tama County Extension and Outreach will present "Beginning Composting," on Tuesday, April 10, at 5:30 p.m.

The program answers the questions : Is composting for you? Have you tried composting with limited and no succes?

"America's Civilian Conservation Corps in Northwest Iowa" is the title of Linda McCann's book which she will share on Thursday, April 12 at 2 p.m.

She will tell over 75 percent of Iowa's projects involved such work as flood control, drought prevention and planting trees.
