Before Judge Lars G. Anderson in Tama County District Court in Toledo:

Nicholas William Zook, 34, Traer , entered a written plea of guilty to a charge of operating a motor vehicle without the owner's consent. He was sentenced to two years in prison with the sentence to run concurrently with a Tama County sentence revoking his probation on March 19, 2018. He was fined $625 which was suspended and assessed $135 court costs.

Zook was charged on Feb. 27 for taking his mother's vehicle to go to Kansas without permission. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Brian Randall.

Jose Duque, 49, Tama, was sentenced to 90 days in jail with all but two days suspended, fined and assessed court costs totaling $2,524 and was placed on probation for one year to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services.

Duque pleaded guilty ot 1st offense drunken driving on Jan. 29.

He was charged on Oct. 22, 2017, in the 2200 block of U.S. Highway 30 in Toledo by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Casey Schmidt.

Daniel Seth Kolten, 25, Toledo, entered a written guilty plea on a charge of maintain drug house, keep, permit or maintain premises or other environment for drugs. He received a deferred judgment, was assessed a civil penalty and court costs totaling $860, was ordered to perform 25 hours of community service and was placed on probation for two years to the 6th Judicial District Department of Correctional Services. He was directed to pay the supervisory enrollment fee.

Kolten was charged on Dec. 21, 2017, in the 1000 block of South Prospect Drive, Toledo, after a search warrant was executed. The charge was filed by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Lucas Dvorak.

Daniel Guy Keller, 39, Chariton, Iowa, entered a written guilty plea to a charge of domestic abuse assault impeding air flow. Judgment was deferred and he was placed on self-supervised probation for two years to the Department of Correctional Services and directed to pay the enrollment fee. He was ordered to successfully complete the Iowa Domestic Abuse Program and to pay $100 court costs. A $625 civil penalty was suspended.

Keller was charged in the 1700 block of Harding on April 6, 2017, for allegedly causing bodily injury to the victim by applying pressure to the neck or throat. He was charged by Tama Police Officer Brandon Boldt.

Joseph Ross King, 35, Toledo, admitted violation of terms of probation and was sentenced to serve 10 days in jail. He was accused of probation violation in a report after being arrested for driving under suspension, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and driving while barred in December, 2017, in Tama County.

He was orignally sentenced on a charge of driving while barred on Nov. 30, 2017.
