Trojans outlast West Delaware

April 18, 2018

One was all it took.

The STC boys soccer team hosted West Delaware on Tuesday evening, finishing the night with a 1-0 win over the Hawks.

It has been a bit of a slow start on the season with cancellations and postponements due to an uncooperative Mother Nature. Tuesday's win actually came a day late for the Trojans. The game was scheduled for Monday but was postponed and moved to South Tama on Tuesday because of Monday's inclement weather.

The postponement was a win-win for the Trojans who captured their first win of the season in front of the home crowd.

The goal was scored by STC's Joel Medina. The goal came in the second half at the 31 minute mark. The Trojans finished the evening with 9 shots on goal.
