South Tama Trojans host home track meet

Slaven takes 2nd in the high jump

South Tama hosted 10 schools for the STC Invite on Thursday, April 19. PCM won the meet with 98 points followed by West Marshall at 2nd with 90, Williamsburg at 3rd with 87, Assumption at 4th with 82, Hudson at 5th with 65, Sigourney at 6th with 56, Southeast Polk at 7th with 45, Denver at 8th with 30, South Tama at 9th with 24 and Vinton Shellsburg at 10th with 10.

The Trojans have been led this season by Stacey Slaven. Slaven took 2nd in the high jump and also earned 2 team points for the Trojans in the 100 M Hurdles. Making up the rest of the team points for the Trojans was Callie Frakes who took 2nd in the 3000 M Run. The Trojans remaining team points came from the 4x400 M Relay who finished 6th as well as the Shuttle Hurdle Relay team who took 6th and the 800 Sprint Medley Relay who also finished 6th.

Slaven competed in the high jump at Drake Relays on Thursday, April 26. Results from the Relays will be in the May 2 Toledo Chronicle.
