Nancy L. Draper

Nancy L. Draper, beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away in her sleep on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Nancy was born on July 21, 1936 in Iowa City, Iowa to George and Pearl Forrester, the ninth of 10 children. She grew up on a farm and graduated from Tama High School, where she was a cheerleader, a baton majorette and played French horn in the band. Nancy attended Iowa Teachers College in Cedar Falls. She married Paul Dean Draper on November 17, 1956 and moved with her young family to Bountiful, Utah in 1964. She was a wonderful, loving homemaker and mother.

Nancy worked as a pharmacy technician and was well known for the conscientious and caring service she provided to many people over the years.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Paul, and two daughters, Derbie Lea Flygare (Richard Watts) of East Millcreek, Utah and Diane Draper (Don Schauerman) of Lone Tree, Colorado. She is also survived by two sisters, Patty Hunnicutt (Columbus Junction, Iowa) and Mary Petersen (Robinson, Texas) and one grandson, Justin M. Baker of Salt Lake City.

A private memorial service and celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to thank A Caring Hand and Mesa View Hospice for the compassionate and attentive service they rendered while Nancy lived in Mesquite, Nevada, from 2016 to 2018. Brighton Home and Hospice also provided kind and caring service to Nancy and her family during her final days.
