Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

Mignonne Leonhardt-Jacobsen, of Green Valley AZ passed away Sunday, May 13th, 2018. Family and friends all agree the pearly gates have swung open just a little bit wider for her.

Born and raised in California by her parents, Houston and Irma Keesee, she graduated from Los Angeles High School and attended Los Angeles College. Mignonne, wife of Richard "Jake" Jacobsen passed away surrounded by family and loved ones after a courageous six-year battle with cancer.

She is survived by her husband, brother, three children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren and was always devoted to all of them. Mignonne loved her "Silver Belles" a welcoming group in Green Valley. She also loved and contributed greatly to the "Teals" the Ovarian Cancer Support Group, providing support and guidance to others in the community. She loved donating her time to the White Elephant Thrift Store. Her passion for giving was bountiful, as her personal crusade throughout the year would be with her eye for fashion, she would collect special Teddy Bears and would donate them to orphanages at Christmas.
