Toledo Public Library- great to visit in summer

Summer is a great time to visit the Toledo Public Library and the events at the library will amaze, entertain and educate you this summer!

The programs in June are Science Lab, Art Lab, Builder's Lab, Bake Lab story time and movie days. The annual summer reading program begins in July with reading starting May 24th for children and adults. Children under the age of five may also participate in the reading portion of summer programs.

Free and open to all pre-school age children and their families. The library will also host the Grout Museum on Friday, July 13, at 10:30. his event is free and open to everyone and funded by the Mansfield Charitable Foundation.

The Quad City Magician will be performing at the Stoplight Festival thanks to generous funding from The Trojan Inn, Independent Insurance and a grant from the Shopko Foundation.

The library has purchased a large number of large print titles for you to check out. Most are located on the display by the circulation desk and the rest are located in the large print section.

Due to the extreme interest in Willi Perkins book art, she has agreed to display her art in the library through June. If you have not stopped in recently, it is worth the trip to the library to see this beautifully hand-crafted art work by Marshalltown artist Willi Perkins.

Gabe Grismer was the winner of the Children's Book Week candy jar. There were 42 pieces of candy and little Gabe guessed 41. Congratulations Gabe!
