Re: Restoration of historic Lincoln Highway Bridge

Enclosed you will find a money order in the amount of $463.46 to go towards the cost of the restoration of the Lincoln Highway Bridge. The funds are from the Tama (NOT South) High School Class of 1955. From the time we graduated we held a class reunion every five years. At these reunions we would have a way to earn funds for expenses for the next reunion. We would do a raffle, a silent auction or just pass the hat. The funds would be deposited into a savings account. In addition we would use some of the funds for a memorial when a classmate passed. We are now at an age where we need to liquidate this account and the classmates have agreed that contributing to this bridge restoration is a good cause. We all traveled across the bridge as children. And later, as teens on our way to King Tower after a ball game or to Marshall's for one of their famous tenderloins.

Following are names of the surviving classmates of the Tama High School class of 1955:

Warren Bent, Gordon Blocker, Larry Bruner, Louise Clark Aiken, Norman Cuda, Harry Gray, Betty Groves Cline, Don Hagge, Marilyn Hala, Therese Hanzelka Silvestri, Janet Hartsell Grupp, Mary Hill Vore, Gary Kouba, Dixie Lacina, Joyce Mitchell Wolfe, Cherie Mohrfeld, Pat Olsen Gross, Loretta Reben Evans, Rosalie Reben Neville, Don Reid, Lloyd Riffle, Leland Sedlacek, Larry Skala, Roger Smith, Nancy Strellner-Richards Mitchell, Marilyn Vileta-Fricke Hicks, Harold Woodworth, David Zimmer.
