Two faces charges of 2nd degree theft in Toledo Dollar General heist

On Wednesday, Oct. 31, a concerned citizen reported to Toledo Police that they located a large amount of possible stolen property from the Dollar General store in Toledo.

On Thursday, Nov. 1, the Toledo Police Department, with the cooperation of the Tama Police Department and the assistance of the Tama County Sheriffs' Office, executed a search warrant in the 200 block of W. 4th Street in Tama.

Grant Dmitry Hill, 22, Williamsburg and Cameron Michael Presgrove, 18, Tama were arrested and transported to the Tama County Jail.

Both suspects will be charged with theft in the 2nd degree (Class C Felony) by the Toledo Police Department. The value of the Dollar General property recovered during the search warrant exceeded $11,000.

Both men appeared before Magistrate Richard Vander Mey on Thursday. Hill was released from custody on a $5,000 surety bond. Presgrove continued to be held on a $7,500 cash bond.
