International Student Fair held at Tama Civic Center

Nine students from South Tama and surrounding schools hosted a Cultural Fair on Sunday, November 11 at the Tama Civic Center.

The International students are in Iowa through the American Councils program. Students live with host families and attend area schools. Jacob Deverala is attending South Tama and is being hosted by Jim and Nancy Smith.

Other students include: Emmanuel from Pakistan, attending North Tama High School, Mariam Mezvrishvili from the Republic of Georgia, attending Belle Plaine High School, Ali Mubarik, Pakistan, Sumner-Fredericksburg HS, Bou Diallo, Mali, Sumner-Fredericksburg HS, Elina Aghabekyan, Armenia, North Tama, Lershito Pasamba, Indonesia, GMG HS, Kseniya Landar, Ukraine, Waterloo West HS.

On Sunday, November 11 International students from surrounding schools held a Cultural Fair at the Tama Civic Center to present about their home countries.

At the fair students shared facts about their home countries. They also shared traditional dishes.
