Donna Princehouse retires from State Bank of Toledo

John Kavalier, President and CEO, State Bank of Toledo announced that Donna Princehouse, Executive Vice President & Cashier, is retiring effective January 1, 2019, with over 41 years of service to the bank. Her career with the bank began August 1, 1977, working in the bookkeeping department and currently is in charge of bank operations. She also serves as a director of the bank and will continue in that position.

Donna is a 1973 graduate of South Tama High School. She is a graduate of Marshalltown Community College and earned her Bachelor's degree in Information Technology from Buena Vista University.

She also earned a Foundations of Banking Diploma from the American Institute of Banking, a division of the American Bankers Association, and attended the Graduate School of Banking, Madison, WI., graduating in 2002.

During her career, she has also served as President of the Iowa Valley Chapter of the American Institute of Banking, past Treasurer and past President of the Tama-Toledo Chamber, served 3 terms on the Toledo City Council, served several years on Toledo's Planning and Zoning Commission, and is Treasurer of Toledo Community Development, Inc. Donna is a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Tama, and is currently serving on the church council.

Donna and her husband Merlyn live in Toledo, and have two sons, Chad (Angie) Princehouse, Toledo, and Nathan (Michelle) Princehouse, Urbandale. They have six grandchildren. Their retirement plans include travelling and spending time with their family.

President Kavalier stated, "Donna has been an integral part of the State Bank of Toledo during her career with the bank. We want to congratulate her on her retirement and over 41 years of service to the bank and our community. She deserves every happiness in her retirement."

An open house is scheduled for Dec. 21, 2018 from 10 a.m. 4 p.m. at the State Bank of Toledo Community Room located at 103 South Broadway, Toledo.
