South Tama Brass Ensemble at Kiwanis

December 29, 2018
Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

At the December 19 Kiwanis meeting, the members were put into the spirit of Christmas by STC High School students and their instructor, Mike Carnahan. After having lunch with Kiwanians, the students played several Christmas carols.

The group of five was a brass ensemble. Playing trumpet were Jonathan Meyer and Jessicas Nachazel. Taylor Moran played the tuba. Makayla Backen played the euphonium, and Chaysen Oldbear played the trombone.

This program was one very special to club members because the reason the Kiwanis exist is for the benefit of students, and it is so gratifying to see how mature and pleasant these young people are as well as being able to hear and appreciate their musical talent.

The Toledo-Tama Kiwanis take this opportunity to wish all a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year. If you like good meals and very enjoyable fellowship as well as having a desire to do good in your community, we will welcome you to our organization. We meet every Wednesday noon at the Country Club and new members are always appreciated.
