L. Wayne Hauser

L. Wayne Hauser, 87, of Toledo and Tama, Ia and formerly Longmont, Co., passed away at Sunny Hill Care Center on Saturday, March 2, 2019. As per his wishes he was cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Leonard "Wayne" Hauser was born Sept. 24, 1931 to Carroll and Thelma Colins Hauser in rural Marshall County. He graduated from Montour High School in 1949. He married Audrey Wolfe in 1957, together they had five children. He was employed by Sam Mattingly Farms for many years, later moving to Colorado, working for U-Haul and John Deere as a mechanic. While in colorado he married Grace Bayon. After Grace's passing, Wayne moved back to Iowa to be closer to his children.

Survivors include his five children Penny (Randy) Dunham of Lawton, Ok., Gary (Jacque) Hauser of Toledo, Ia., Tracy (Paul) Varcoe of Hiawatha, Ia., Tammy (Brian) Vognsen of Lawrence, Ks., Eric (Stacie) Hauser of Tama, Ia., two stepsons Ed and Charlie Bayon of Colorado and their families, Eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, brother Ellis Hauser, Manson, IA., sisters Barbara Marks, Corwith, Ia, and Kathy (Bill) Vollink of Okoboji, Ia., and former wife Audrey Hauser, Coralville, Ia.

Preceding him in death were his parents, wife Grace, brother Gerald Hauser, brother-in-law Richard Marks, sister-in-law Gloria Hauser, and nephew Scott Vollink.
