Fillin’ and falling out!

March 16, 2019
By Pastor Mike Nodland - Clutier Community Church and Vining Christian Fellowship Church , Toledo Chronicle, Tama News-Herald

I have had so much dental work that magnetic fields spook me. Attending a gathering one evening, I was eating salad when something metal was loose in my mouth: a large dental filling! Rattled, I headed to the sink to rinse it off. Sure enough, it was a very large filling. I thought that I was moments away from a nasty toothache. I called my dentist office and got in quickly.

I showed the dentist my filling, sealed inside a plastic bag. They agreed-it was a filling. They proceeded to check my teeth to locate the hole in my jaw. Flipping on the recent x-ray screen, they rechecked my mouth. Upon a third tooth-by-tooth inspection, they turned off the light and called upon their experienced dentist for assistance. Both agreed: it was a very large filling that had fallen outbut, not from my mouth!

When I first discovered the filling, I wanted it out of my mouth! May this remind us that we should be just as vigilant to get rid of anything that God does not want in our lives! "Sin-in?" Get it out!
