The $32 million Iowa Valley Community College District bond issue failed to reach the required 60 percent approval in unofficial results from the Marshall County Auditor- Commissioner of Elections Office.

The unofficial report of the vote showed 2,227 or 58.39 percent in favor with 1,587 or 41.61 percent opposed.

The boards of supervisors in the five counties with Iowa Valley District voters must canvas the votes to make them official.
