On Wednesday, May 1, STC High School staff members, senior students and their families came together for the first ever Trojan Way Decision Day. The event is an opportunity for STC Seniors to showcase what their plan is after they graduate later this month. Some students are attending college, some enlisting with the military, and others headed into the workforce. 2019 also featured one student who plans to enroll in the federal Job Corps program.

Prior to the start of the ceremony, a breakfast was prepared by the STC High School food service team for the students and their families. High School Counselor Dan Lopez kicked off the ceremonies followed by Superintendent Jared Smith, who also addressed the crowd.

"We are pushing (the concept) that every student graduate South Tama with a plan," remarked Lopez. "If you have Facebook, Twitter, Instagram you can see students showcased on one of those social media platforms. We would like to showcase our seniors in front of the entire student body and later this afternoon we will have the eighth graders over and have seniors talk to them about what they should be doing to graduate with a plan."
