Tuesday's home game wasn't the outcome the Trojans were looking for but there was still plenty to celebrate after the contest. The South Tama Trojans (2-13) hosted Williamsburg (7-5) for a WaMaC West Conference contest on Tuesday, May 14. Despite a more aggressive effort in the second half the Trojans lost 2-1.

Williamsburg managed to get a 2-0 lead in the first forty minutes. The two points came from Mia Kittleson and Kayla York. Following halftime, Coach Noah Schmelzer made some adjustments to his lineup.

Schmelzer opted to move Olivia Terrones from a defender position up to a forward position. This is typically where Terrones, who attends East Marshall, plays. Terrones leads the Trojans in goals. Out of the 11 the Trojans have scored this year, she has scored eight. She's very strong and also fast which makes her a good athlete at the forward position.

The lineup adjustment was noticeable right away. STC/EM showed more offensive aggressiveness which resulted in a goal scored by the Trojans with 33:41 remaining in the second half.

Both the Trojans and the Raiders were pretty evenly matched on the field. Much of the game was played midfield with each team trying to take control. Possessions swapped back and forth continuously for much of the night. However there were the few breakaways for each team that gave them an opportunity to score. The Trojans were trying to tie up the score and the Raiders were trying to add to theirs.

South Tama keeper Mary Ann Marks had her work cut out for her. She showed a lot of heart in the second half racking up five stops.

Ultimately Williamsburg was able to hang on to their 2-1 lead for the for the final conference game of the season.
