School is out and summer time brings many fun and educational events to the Toledo Public Library. Our programs will include Story Time with Mary, A Universe of Stories - the summer reading program with Sheri and , Art Lab, Bake Lab and Nature Lab with Jenny. There will be a Summer Saving's Lab hosted by the State Bank of Toledo volunteers and a Red Cross Pillowcase Project taking place later in August.

Summer is a perfect time to get signed up for a library card for yourself and your family. Bring a current ID to get your card. Once you have a library card, you may check out all items from our collection; books, magazines, audio books, nature backpacks and DVDs. The library provides a current collection. Stop in this summer!! We will be happy to see you.

These Art Lab students had fun making “sunshine flyers.” Art Lab for the school year ended May 29, and now continues through June. New to the Library-

Book Page is new to the library. This is a monthly publication that features new books as well as author interviews and more! Book Page is funded by the Toledo Public Library and the State of Iowa Enrich Iowa funding. Pick one up next time you are visiting the library.

Brainfuse, Job Now & Vet Now resource is new to the library. This reference database is complete with job tools, VA support tools, resume templates, college skills pre-tests, U.S. Citizenship tests, live coaching and so much more. It is available in English, Spanish and French languages. Log onto the library website and click onto Brainfuse to see all this resource has to offer. Contact the library staff for assistance.

The library has new Tama County maps available and Iowa maps are also available at the library.

The library also has available Ancestry Library Edition to use free of charge while in the library. This resource is funded by the Toledo Library Foundation. Begin your family search today.
