The South Tama Trojans (2-15) hosted Beckman Catholic (12-7) for a WaMaC cross conference contest Varsity double header on Wednesday, June 12. In two games the Trojans fell 12-0 and 21-1.

In game one Ashlynn Ellenbecker took the loss for the Trojans. She pitched for five innings, giving up 12 hits, 4 earned runs, walking none and striking out three.

Starting game two from the mound for STC was Lauren Veit. Veit lasted one full inning allowing four hits, 12 runs 10 of which were earned, walked eight and had no strikeouts. Veit was received in the second inning for a brief stretch by Laurel Upah. However Coach Chelsea Ahrens ultimately brought in Ellenbecker to finish up the second inning. The Trailblazers scored an impressive 13 runs. While the game two loss for the Trojans marked the largest margin of victory over South Tama in over 10 years there was a positive take away. STC's Queta Wanatee-Diego made it to base after a hit to outfield. She stole second with Makayla Backen at bat. An error by Beckman's secondbase person while Morgan Haughey was at bat brought in a run from Wanatee-Diego.
