South Tama falls in two to Williamsburg

South Tama hosted Williamsburg for a softball varsity double header on Monday, June 24. The night ended with Williamsburg defeating the Trojans 15-0 and 14-0.

Ashlynn Ellenbecker pitched game one of the double header that lasted four innings. Ellenbecker allowed 12 hits, 15 runs, walked one and struck out one.

Pitching game one for Williamsburg was incoming freshman, Peyton Driscoll. She allowed no hits, walked two and struck out six.

In game two Lauren Veit and Ellenbecker both pitched for two innings. Veit allowed three hits, four runs, walked two and had no strikeouts. Ellenbecker allowed seven hits, 10 runs, walked two and struck out one.

Charley Geguzis pitched game two for the Raiders allowing one hit and striking out three.

Ellenbecker had the only offensive stat in either game with one hit in game two.

The Trojans will host South Hardin tonight (Friday, June 28).
