Toledo Counicl approved 2019-20 pay

The Toledo City Council voted 4-0 to approve pay for city employees for the 2019-20 fiscal year. Voting in favor were members Steve Vesely, Brian Sokol, Joe Boll and Darvin Graham. Member Duane Pansegrau was absent.

The pay schedule includes: John Lloyd Mayor $2,500 annual; council members $20 per meeting; Kendall Jordan, public works director $64,424; Kim McAdoo city clerk $22.53 per hour; Jill Apfel deputy clerk $16.27 per hour with quarterly raises to reach $18.50 hourly by April 1, 2020; Greg Johnson EMS director $52,386; Jesse Brown EMS paramedic $40,511 and hired May, 2019, as seasonal park mower at $6.67 per hour at overtime rate; Mark Dvorak, cemetery sextant $20.49 per hour; Brent Damman equipment operator $20.49 per hour; Brad Meek water / waste water operator $22.54 per hour with additional compensation approved by council after passing certifications; Todd Sebesta water / waste water operator $21.42 with additional compensation approved by council after passing certifications; Sean McFate, public works utility $17.50 per hour- hired June 3, 2019; Harry Hala, seasonal mowing $10 per hour.

And, Jenny Bledsoe, librarian $37,992 full -time at 35 hours per week; Sheri McFate library assistant $16.56 per hour full-time at 35 hours per week; Mary Brandt $11.25 per hour part-time library; Jennifer Hulme $10.50 per hour part-time library.

Also, Robert Kendall police chief $51,836 effective July 1, 2019; Dan Quigley police sergeant $25.24 per hour effective with resolution passed Feb. 28 until further notice; Nathan Shepard, police detective $23.80 per hour effective July 1, with an increase at employment anniversary of March 12, 2020, to $24.52 per hour; Kyle Howe police officer $20.91 per hour effective July q1 with an increase at employment anniversary on Sept. 3 to $21.63 per hour; Shawncey Say police officer $22.36 per hour effective July 1 with an increase on employment anniversary April 11, 2020 to $23.07 per hour; and Fred Oster, part-time police officer $18 per hour effective July 1.
