Double D Rodeo set for this Fri. Sat.

The 42nd annual Double D Rodeo gets underway Friday, Aug 3 and continues Saturday night, Aug. 4, at the Dostal Family Ranch seven miles north of Toledo on U.S. Highway 63 and 1/4 mile east on Tama County Road E29.

The rodeo is IRCA, IRA and URA approved. There's plenty of action with top-flight rodeo stock.

Wooly Bully Rides for kids start at 5:30 p.m. with the rodeo getting underway at 7 p.m. and pony rides are also available for the young people followed by a rodeo dance each night featuring Lonesome Road.

The rodeo is presented in conjunction with the Pony Express Riders of Iowa with all proceeds benefiting Easter Seals Camp Sunnyside.
