James “Jim” Snyder

James worked at Lennox as an assembler for their heating units for 38 years before he was no longer able to continue working. In his free time, he enjoyed amateur radio, the Kansas City Cheifs, Royals, watching basketball especially the Iowa Hawkeyes, and biking up until he was no longer able. He enjoyed his trips to Arizona and his annual trips to Nashville, TN for the Fanfare festival with his wife. He would often wait in long lines just to get an autograph from a specific artist for his loving wife. The two would listen to country music and Christian music together as well as attend concerts. They also held season tickets for the Des Moines Civic center for plays. He loved watching movies and spending time with his wife, nieces, and nephews.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Jamie; his parents James and RLou Snyder, Toledo; nieces and nephews Jennifer (Coridan) McGinley, Danial (Jessica) Kilker, Angela (James) Christensen, Jamey (Stephanie) Kilker, Corey Kilker, Jeanie Hall, Nathan Snyder, Dillon Snyder; great nieces-nephews Clark McGinley, Hope and Oliver Kilker, Nile, Grace, Julian, and Lincoln Christensen, Jamison and Jordyn Kilker, and Hunter, Sirenity, and Braydon Merksick; siblings John (Kelly) Snyder, Joni Hall, and Mary Ellen Snyder; brother-in-law David (Leanne) Kilkner.

In death, Jim rejoins his maternal and paternal grandparents; numerous aunts and uncles; nephew Ryan Hall; mother and father-in-law James and Darlene Brezina; and sister-in-law Bonnie Kilker.
